There are opportunities for everyone, be they online, in-person, in groups or on a ‘1-2-1’ basis!
We have over two hundred webinar-based training sessions available for members to watch free of charge and we are constantly adding to that library!
Mentoring
This goes further than the critique process and involves longer more in-depth sessions. Just one session can make a huge difference, though for many, mentoring becomes an ongoing process. It is one of our most popular services which will support and encourage you to manage your own learning to maximise your potential, develop skills and become the photographer or photographic business you aspire to be… and it is all done at your own pace! This is not a written based process – if you commit to this you will be linked to an experienced Guild Mentor who will work with you on a ‘1-2-1’ basis online. This way you can ask questions, share screens, watch edits and more. It’s a fantastic and personal way to learn!
Online Training Days
We are conscious that some people are not able to attend in-person opportunities for various reasons, so we link closely with PhotoHubs who offer on-line training days and even on-line ‘schools’. The schools have all the benefits of in-person training but without the inconvenience, expense of travel and accommodation – it is all done in the comfort of your own home or studio! The sessions are fully interactive, with the same level of support you would get with in-person traiing and are discounted for members.
Webinars
As a member of the Guild, you can watch new sessions ‘live’ should you wish or catch up later. All as all sessions can be watched ‘on demand’.
They are in relaxed learning formats, covering a huge variety of photography-related subjects and skills, with some exhibition or chat-based sessions too. Business and marketing skills are covered as well.
We have over 200 ‘FREE’ online webinars in our library for members to access anytime.
Image Critique
These are undertaken on the images of your choice with one of our experienced Judges on a ‘1-2-1’ basis either online via video link or telephone. Image critiques can be of great value to understand what is required when entering national competitions, submitting for assessment processes or simply for personal development.
Available to all members.
Workshops & Events
We have Regional Groups so opportunities for learning arise around the country, ranging from PhotoWalks, and Meet-Ups with fellow members through to Workshops and Seminars by some of the best-known trainers in the photographic industry. Some of these events are run by PhotoHubs and all are either free or discounted for Guild Members.
We can also arrange ‘bespoke’ workshops or training opportunities where ever you wish. Members can choose a subject and location and pull together a few interested attendees – we will provide the trainer!
