Kata has released a brand new feature-packed backpack - the Pro Light Beetle-282 - a super-light and protective camera bag offering superb protection for your camera gear.

It is manufactured in the latest lightweight ripstop fabric and can hold an impressive array of kit - up to 2 or 3 DSLR bodies with a further four to six lenses (right up to 300mm), plus additional room for a laptop (up to 17in) and all the necessary accessories. Alternatively - with totally adjustable inner dividers - the bag is also suitable for HD Video cameras or a combination of both video and stills equipment!

The Gecko EVA foam harness straps provide extra cushioning where it counts and micro hatch texture ensures straps say put and the adjustable hip belt is designed to transfer the weight of your gear from your back to your hips and a sternum strap adjusts to various heights to ensure individual comfort. There's also a clever camera attachment device which enables you to take the weight of the camera on the harness, rather than around your neck.

It also boasts Kata's new Aerifoam dividers - which while still providing 100% of the protection are 25% lighter, together with a new foam encased spring-steel Spine Guard feature to give the Beetle the ultimate in structural protection.

There's also two different ways to attach a tripod (on the front and on the side), together with Kata's unique Elements Cover for added protection in even the harshest environments. It is also compatible with Kata's Insertrolly, so can easily be transformed into a rolling bag for when four wheel drive is an option!

All in all a great bit of a kit and it retails at around the £100 mark so is good value too!
