It's a year since the Guild launched its new website and its new approach and since then it has grown rapidly!

The Guild launched its new website and the introduction of a new contemporary approach 12 months ago, including amongst other things a Panel of expert advisors to support members and a private Forum for members to use. Since then membership has more than doubled!

The key to this growth has probably been down to its friendly supportive approach and the value for money it offers. The Directors and the Guild Panel are able to offer virtually bespoke advice to members and it offers great value for money. It's very comprehensive insurance scheme is believed to be the best in the country and members have access to over 22,500 other national discounts which can potentially save them several £100's a year, if not £1000 plus.

The Guild, established in 1988, has a strict code of standards and offers respected 'live' qualifications (subject to dip-sampling) making them a 'Mark Of Trust' to the public. It has a strong mentoring programme and courses by some the countries most capable tutors. In April this year it is staging a full-blown 'Mock Civil Wedding' complete with car, cake and bridal party.

This friendly association welcomes those who join 'to the family' and members certainally seem to feel part of a family as can be seen on the Forum where members support, help and advise each other.

Guild Director Lesley Thirsk says 'We are delighted not only with the growth of the Guild but the type of member it attracts. Everyone wants to help each other on their photographic journey and get the most from their camera, which is what the association is all about!'
