Alan Bennett has beaten off several hundred submissions to win the 'My Heritage, My Norwich' photography competition organised by Norwich Heritage Economic And Regeneration Trust (HEART) with a stunning image of 'St Bartholomew Church Ruins'.

His winning image will now go on display at various prominant venues throughout Norwich.

The judges said that his image was 'well thought-out' and really seemed to 'reveal secret Norwich'. They said his entry was 'beautifully framed under superb conditions' and captured 'an ethereal and moody quality'

Alan stated the he was 'elated and honoured to have been chosen' and that it was a 'terrific feeling' to be recognised for his photography.

Alan's winning entry is below and was taken 'on a very cold and misty February morning, with a hint of warmth from the rising sun which was illuminating the tower'.
